  • Posted 1 year ago

Long and thick eyelashes are such a cherished beauty dream that it could well become a full-fledged wish for the New Year or birthday. With beautiful eyelashes, the look is more expressive and effective, you feel more confident. In addition, it is safer for a person with them: they protect the eyes from dust, dirt, and sweat. So without eyelashes, we are literally going nowhere.

From stress and lack of vitamins, their number is noticeably reduced, and in some cases, they stop growing. If you are faced with such a problem, then there is a serious reason to think about your health and quickly improve the situation. We’ve compiled five causes of eyelash loss — check the list and get healthier.

1. Deficiency of vitamins

If you often indulge in diets, eat unbalanced, skip meals, but not the trips to the store for fast food, then eyelashes will fall out. For healthy eyelash growth, a large amount of trace elements and vitamins is needed: iron, magnesium, vitamins A, B, and E, as well as biotin. Eat varied, include in the diet more fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, herbs, nuts so that the body has enough of everything.

2. Skin diseases

May be a serious cause of eyelash loss. Neurodermatitis, herpes, psoriasis, and other diseases that occur in the eyelid area cause discomfort, irritation, the skin itches, and you involuntarily rub your eyes with your hands. Such an aggressive external influence leads to loss of eyelashes. In such cases, it is best not to self-medicate and go to see a doctor. Skip makeup for a while to reduce skin irritation. In your beauty routine, use only hypoallergenic products without fragrances and synthetic additives.

3. Hormonal disbalance

It leads to a weakening of the protective functions of the body, which subsequently leads to a lack of vitamins and, as a consequence, loss of eyelashes. However, it is argued that in such cases, eyelash loss is temporary. Before purchasing eyelash growth serums, it is better to consult a specialist.

4. Incorrect use of eyelash curler

Use curling irons only on “clean” lashes, before applying mascara. If you break this rule by curling your painted eyelashes, you risk damaging the structure of your eyelashes and losing them.

5. Poor quality ink

Such mascaras contain synthetic additives, fragrances, active ingredients that irritate mucous membranes, and skin. Carefully study the composition and try to select a product from an assortment of proven brands. Do not forget to change the mascara every two to four months: a large number of viruses and bacteria accumulate in the tube, which can lead to inflammation.
