Ello is an interactive online beauty directory and a platform to share local service providers, reviews, events and jobs.
In this time, we believe it is important to be open about data so the following will cover the data that we hold and what we do with it.
“We”, “Us”, “site” or “Ello” will be used to describe the Ello.ee website & platform.
“Users” will be used to describe a visitor of the website. (This can be account holders and non-account holders.)
“Listings” will be used to describe places, events, brands, offers, news posts.
We collect data when you create an account with us.
This may include personal data, such as name, email address, personal account preferences; transactional data, such as history of purchase; and technical data such as cookie information.
We collect this data to maintain user accounts on the web so that users can “bookmark” or store their favorite listing on the site and access unique content, such as special discounts and local deals, that account holders can access.
By creating an account a person has the right to create a listing. They have the option to advertise the listing, or add it to a premium account. The customer will be buying a promotional key or subscription when this occurs.
Such sales or transfers go through an eCommerce network from third parties that completes the financial transactions on our behalf. We use WooCommerce for all our financial transactions, so when purchases are made, this information is encrypted, Ello does not have access to financial details.
We cannot see credit card information on our back end.
When account holders leave comments on listings our records retain their name, email address, IP address, time and date, and what listing was commented on.
We receive a copy of the email when users use contact form on Ello to contact us or another page.
We collect the user name, email and address so that for safety and security purposes we can guarantee quality service.
We create a temporary cookie to decide whether your browser accepts cookies if you have an account and you sign in to this site. This cookie does not contain any personal data and will be discarded after closing your browser.
Materials on this site can contain embedded content (for example, videos, photos, documents, etc.). Embedded material from other websites behaves as if the user had accessed the other website in exactly the same way.
Such websites may collect data about you, use cookies, insert additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that website.
We use Google Analytics to track the site performance, visitors numbers, time of visit and most visited pages.
We also may use Facebook Pixel to help us target user who may like our service during Facebook marketing campaigns.
By default Ello does not share any personal data with anyone for any reason.
If you leave a comment, we preserve the comment and its metadata forever. It is so that we can immediately identify and accept any follow-up comments, instead of keeping them in a queue of moderation.
All users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (except their username). Administrators of website can also see and edit the information. Such accounts are secured by a password which is determined by the user.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
At this time, all comments and listings are reviewed by our staff.
In the unlikely event that there should be a data breach, we must contact the appropriate authorities for the situation, depending on the type of information taken.
By default, we do not collect information other than name and email address, such as birthdays, or any other personally identifiable information.
Currently Ello doesn’t receive any data from any third party websites.
The user can terminate and eliminate his account and his data on the platform at any time. To do this, just notify Ello at any moment.
