“The rectangular shape is easy to do at home and is suitable for both light and dark colours of nail polish,” says Juanita Huber-Millett, founder of nail bar Townhouse. To replicate this manicure, all you need to do is arm yourself with special scissors, a nail file, and nail polish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, trim your nails straight across the plate to get a square shape. “Then take a file to slightly round the corners and remove any harshness,” Juanita continues. Avoid strong pressing movements and instead use the ‘long strokes’ technique.
